Description On Friday, November 30, 2012 Indiana Tech is hosting a Visit Day from 10am-2pm for students that are interested in finding out more about our Engineering and Computer Science degrees. You will take a tour of the campus, meet with faculty to learn more about our spacific degrees, and do a hands-on experiement.

Description

Scholarship for incoming freshmen.

Requirements are: 3.0 GPA and above 1100 SAT (CR and Math only) or above a 24 ACT composite.

Transfer students must additionally have a college cumlative GPA above 2.5.

Recommended selection criteria

For incoming freshmen:

  • 3.0 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 point scale)
  • 1100 SAT (combined math and critical reading) or 23 ACT composite
  • Acceptance to Indiana Tech

For transfer students:

  • Would have qualified for the scholarship upon graduating high school
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA at their previous institution

Application process

The application process must be completed by March 15, 2012. To apply, you must complete:

  • An essay outlining how you have demonstrated leadership. The essay should be no more than two pages.
  • A professional résumé demonstrating key accomplishments and contributions.
  • A recommendation from a non-relative about how you demonstrate one of Indiana Tech’s core values: respect, commitment, honesty, passion, or integrity.
  • Interview, if deemed necessary.

Additional requirements

  • Applicants must complete the FAFSA and meet financial aid deadlines each year to be awarded the scholarship.
  • Deposits must be made by May 1.
  • Applicants who fail to complete leadership projects may not be awarded the scholarship in subsequent years.
  • Presidential Scholars must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. If the GPA is lower than 3.0 for two consecutive semesters, the student’s scholarship will be eliminated. However, if the student raises the GPA to the accepted level, the scholarship may be restored.
