The Summer Nuclear Science Institute is designed (1) to introduce high school students and guidance counselors to basic concepts in nuclear science (2) to remove misconceptions, apprehensions about nuclear power and nuclear materials (3) impart knowledge about career opportunities in the nuclear science and engineering fields that can be shared with students; and (4) assist the University in recruiting excellent students and others into the Nuclear Engineering, Radiochemistry, and Medical Physics programs at SC State University. |
