Description Black Issues Forum is designed to provide students with a vehicle to demonstrate their written and oral communication skills and to enhance their leadership potential.  Participants will have the opportunity to interact with university faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students as they discuss and evaluate the important issues of today that affect the Black community at the local, state, national, and/or global level.  Students reside on campus in University residence halls.  Black Issues Forum is sponsored by the Office of Admissions at Colorado State University.

Description This program, designed for high school seniors and their families, provides an overview of the academic programs and student services offered at Colorado State as well as a campus walking tour. You'll experience what college life is like by meeting with some of our faculty, staff and currently enrolled students. Representatives from admissions, financial aid, housing, and academic colleges will be available to answer your questions.
Application Process To register for the program of your choice, visit our website at admissions.colostate.edu/visit. The registration fee is $15.00 per person, which includes all information sessions, a campus tour, continental breakfast, lunch, and a parking permit. Attendance is limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis until a program is filled. We will make every effort to accomodate your first choice program; however, if that date is filled, we will contact you to select another date. Registration is required at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event. A confirmation packet, including a tentative agenda and map, will be mailed to you approximately 10 days prior to your scheduled program.

Description The Green and Gold Scholarship is a $2,000 annual award, renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.  A student must be a Colorado resident entering freshmen who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement.

Description

Presidential Scholarship is a $6,000 annual award, renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.

Provost’s Scholarship is a $4,000 annual award, renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met.

To qualify for either award, a student must be a non-resident entering freshmen who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement. 

Application Process

To be considered for the award, each student must submit a complete Application for Admission (including transcripts, test scores, and processing fee) by February 1, and meet specific academic criteria and be admitted by March 1. 

Students may not receive both the Presidential and the Provost's Scholarships.

Application Process The CSUSA is available online at RAMweb beginning December 1, 2007 The deadline is March 1 at 11 p.m. (MST).  To be considered for need-based scholarships through the CSUSA, your 2008-2009 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be submitted no later March 1.  Please be sure to visit the Student Financial Services website for other deadlines and more details.

Scholarship Name First Generation Scholarship

Description First Generation Award is a $4,000 annual award, renewable for 6 additional semesters provided requirements are met. You must be a Colorado resident entering freshman or undergraduate transfer student who demonstrates financial need and be admitted by March 1 with a minimum 3.0 high school or transfer GPA.  A student’s parents must not have received a bachelor’s degree. 
Application Process A paper application  is available in January from Student Financial Services. The deadline is March 3, 2008. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be submitted no later than March 1.
