About Denison University
Denison University located in Granville, Ohio was founded in 1831, and is a highly selective, four year, private, residential liberal arts college. Granville, Ohio is a college community just 27 miles east of Columbus, the state capital. Denison's curriculum has more than 40 majors, concentrations and programs of study. There are approximately 2,100 full-time students who represent 49 states and 33 countries, and 17% of the student body is multicultural. Denison has an alumni body of more than 23,000 and an endowment of over $446 million that places it among the top colleges and universities in the United States. Denison's campus is beautiful and exceptionally well-suited for its academic mission. It features a mixture of historic and contemporary buildings, and state-of-the-art science facilities. Spanning 1,000 acres, the campus includes a 350-acre biological reserve. All buildings, academic, residential and athletic, are within walking distance of each other, which helps build a sense of community. Each year, more than one-third of Denison's junior class studies off campus in one of 85 overseas and U.S. programs in which Denison participates. Our optional Denison Internship Program offers hundreds of travel and internship possibilities. Denison University admits academically qualified students of any race, color, religion, age, personal handicap, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status and national or ethnic origin.
